Move the Movement!

This Friday  Community Roots will hos their annual Move the Movement benefit concert!

Performances will consist of a variety of artists including the Black Alley Band, Javier Starks, the Generics and many more! The concert is free to attend. ISU is a proud sponsor of the concert; all donations go to the Pick Me Up Foundation, whose mission is to provide musical instruments, equipment and lessons to under resourced kids.

Leadership Adventure!

ALLIED is a six day, five night outdoor backpacking experience focused on exploring identity and its impact on leadership. Throughout this adventure, you’ll learn the basics of backpacking, outdoor cooking, camping, and navigation while gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation of yourself and others.

No previous experience is necessary to participate!

Have you always wanted to know what goes on at the ALC, but have never been able to commit to a weekly class? Well here is your chance to explore their facilities and take part in some awesome activities for FREE!

Come this Thursday from 12-5 for an Open House in coordination with StampFest. Stop by for a tour all day long or come to one of the special events below:

– Throw down with Student Demonstrations in the Ceramics Studio: Come and have a spin on the pottery wheel and learn more about their wheel throwing and hand building classes. Current ceramics students will walk you through the pottery process and show off finished products!

– Take a Spin with a free Salsa Demonstration- Drop in and learn a few moves with this interactive Salsa lesson.

– Come Hungry for our Cooking Demonstration with Chef Will Rogers- Have a taste of the ALC’s brand new cooking course (in collaboration with the MD Food Co-Op and Green Tidings Food Truck).
